Normal Talk
Bringing Athens together for healthy community discourse
Normalizing Conversation
Established in 2017 by Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church of Athens, Normal Talk is about bringing people together.
About creating space for speech. About giving people with different lives, belief systems, struggles, and hopes the opportunity to talk about the issues of our day and age in a safe and constructive environment.
It's about finding healthy ways to talk about a broken world.

Normal Questions
Normal Talk was started by a church but it's welcome to all, churched and non-churched alike. To keep the event as accessible as possible, we also do our best to make every event free—all you need to bring is an open mind.
We want to create a space where anyone can speak their mind, ask questions, and be heard.
Come one.
Come all.

Normal Knowledge
Past speakers have included world-renowned scholars, celebrated authors, and some of the Athens community's hardest-working local volunteers. They're there to provide insight and experience that can help us parse through the topics that might bug or confuse us.
You're there to pick their brains.
